Inspiration For The Weekend - 27

We are about half way through the summer.
Can't believe school starts in about 6 weeks, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.
Let's enjoy the second half of the summer.  Although some days we've been even busier than during the school year with places to go and things to do, we have not forgotten to just sit back and relax.

And that is exactly what I think of when I see this cute little letter set:

Amy from The Happy Scraps made this cute Summer craft.  I am just loving the watermelon 'U'.  Stop by her blog to see how she created this.  Just looking at it makes me want to sip some lemonade in the shade.

What relaxing things have you done this summer?
If you haven't found time to relax yet, I hope this post will inspire you to sit back, relax and enjoy!

  1. When I read 6 weeks, I thought...wow, school starts early for them. Then I realized that we aren't that far behind you. Holy cow! Where did the summer go?!?

  2. Only 6 weeks left of summer?! That's the best news I've heard all summer : ). I feel like I can actually try to enjoy it now, now that it's not so overwhelmingly long.

The best summer things I've enjoyed so far have been being able to have my husband working from home : ). And that means I've had access to our car almost every day! And that also has meant I could go to Annville once a week and do my most favorite thing in the whole world: play racquetball!

There have been some fun summer kids things too--our time at the Jackson Meadows Park has been a lifesaver. The township has employed 4 young adults to supervise playtime for the older kids (anyone over the age of 6) everyday, and they have had a blast playing tennis, ping pong, flag football, board games, crafts, water slides, and tons of other fun things with other school-age kids that they know. And it's free for everyone! It's so amazing and great. We've enjoyed some fun family time together over there too.

As for relaxing things? I've enjoyed lots and lots of reading! It's been super fun to get into books, which I don't normally have time for. Oh, and writing! I've been enjoying writing my love stories, as you know.

You've gotten me all pepped up about summer fun now. I'm glad I can feel this way at least part of the summertime, now that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, ha ha : )!
