Rice Pudding Secret Family Recipe

I'm sharing a secret family recipe today.  Shhhh, don't tell my husband.

We've had unseasonably warm weather lately, but winter is just around the corner.  This rice pudding recipe makes the perfect treat to warm you up on those chilly days, nights, or whenever.  Or you can eat it cold and enjoy it during the summer months too.  Whenever my husband makes this, and he makes a large batch in the biggest pot we have, it's gone in days.  When we serve it to guests, they rave about it and ask for the recipe.  So I'm sharing it with all of you today.

Kevin's Famous Rice Pudding Recipe:

You'll want to cook the rice in a very large pot, we use one that is 8 quarts.  By the time we added everything, the pot is filled to the top.  You want to cook the rice according to the directions on your rice package, and make sure you don't use instant rice.   One the rice is all cooked, add some milk, just like you'd add milk to a bowl of cereal.  For the rest of the ingredients, you can mix them all together before adding them to the pot.  Cook till it's all heated through and then enjoy your delicious goodness while it's hot and later when it's warm, and the next day when it's cold.

You can modify this a bit, add some cinnamon, more vanilla, less milk, adjust it to your tastes.  My husband makes it a little different each time and each time he proclaims it to be the best batch ever, and it is.

Anyone else making rice pudding this time of year?  It would make a great treat after a hard day of playing in the leaves.
