Untangling hair from a brush

The other night, the Babes got her hair stuck in a round brush. She was crying as she tried to pull it out, and cried even more as I tried to help her.  Finally she called in the Fixer, aka Daddy.  We sometimes call him the Fixer because it seems like he can fix anything.

My husband carefully went to work and gently released each hair from around the brush.  Notice the Babes isn't even crying anymore.

How did he do it?

The round brush on the left is what the Babe's hair was wrapped around.  My husband used the pointy end of the black comb on the right to separate a few strands at a time.

The Babes was so distraught over her hair before Daddy fixed it, that she cried out "cut it, cut it".
Luckily we didn't have to cut any hair and I'm hoping she learned her lesson and won't try wrapping her hair around a round brush again.

Anyone else have any tricks for fixing hair disasters?

Thanks for stopping by,
Christa
